SOUTHERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY CARBONDALE.  Southern Illinois University
Carbondale (SIUC) Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering invites
applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in the area of
civil engineering infrastructure systems with applications in environmental
and water resources engineering.  Applications will be accepted at the rank
of assistant professor.  The applicant must possess a record of, or
potential for, substantial peer-reviewed research and publication. A record
of prior, effective, university-level teaching experience is desirable.
Candidates are sought with research expertise in one or more of the
following specializations: modeling of water resources and environmental
systems, resource management optimization, development and applications of
sensors for water resources and environmental systems, and emerging
technologies. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil or
Environmental Engineering and an earned doctorate by the time of hire in
Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a closely related field.
Professional experience is highly desirable. Professional licensure is
desirable and will be required for tenure. Applicants must submit a cover
letter describing the candidate's qualifications for the position, a
complete vita, a one-page statement of career goals, and a list of at least
