The Association encompasses four categories of members :
|

|
- Individual members:
individuals who share the aims of the IASS
- Student members:
individuals who share the aims of the IASS
and who are currently students at a recognized
institution of higher learning Individual members
- Honorary members:
individuals with a distinguished record
of outstanding achievement in the field of shell
and spatial structures; honorary membership is conferred
by the Executive Council
- Collective members:
organizations which share the aims of
the Association

The Association is governed by an Executive Council
consisting of voting members and a Secretary.
Voting members are elected and coopted.
|
|
|
- The
Executive Council
elects among its members the officers of the Association:
The President, four Vicepresidents and the Treasurer
- The Executive Council
is assisted in its work by the
Advisory Board
formed by former members of Executive Council.
