Description
Equipment formed by two servohydraulic testing machines provided with
computerized systems of function generation, control and data acquisition.
Technical characteristics
- Two hydraulic groups with capacity to provide an oil flow of 32 and 56
litres per minute respectively, at a pressure of 210 bars.
- Load frames with nominal capacity of + 100 kN.
- Two hydraulic actuators with static and dynamic load capacity of +
25 kN and + 100 kN respectively.
- Computerized function generators allowing to create any kind of function
composed by rectilinear segments or waves with frecuencies up to 100 Hz.
- Data acquisition computer with 16 conversion channels of 12 bits.
Applications
Dynamic testing on samples and cores of bituminous and cement-bound
materials.

- Constant speed press, with load capacity of 10.000 kg, for the CBR test.

Equipment for the conventional characterisation of bituminous
binders:


Description
Number of materials and equipments for sample acquisition and performance of
tests taken from the specifications for bituminous binders for roads (asphaltic
bitumen, modified bitumen, emulsion, cut-back bitumen). Besides the measuring
equipments, the laboratory has the necessary accessories for the preparation of
samples and laboratory tests, chemical products and solvents, apart from the
equipments for normal use in a laboratory (balances, water baths, ovens, stills,
vacuum pumps, etc.) and glass, porcelain and metal tools (flasks, glasses,
pycnometers, etc.).
Technical characteristics
All the equipment and accessories in this laboratory fulfil the required
specifications in the NLT norm for each test. The measurement ranks and accuracy
are equal, and in some cases higher than the ones from the norm.
Applications
Conventional characterisation of hydrocarbon binders for application on
roads: asphaltic bitumen, modified bitumen, emulsion, cut-back and fluxed
bitumen, tar, natural asphalts, etc.
